posted Jul 2, 2009, 9:18 AM by Unknown user   [ updated Jul 2, 2009, 11:11 AM ]
Michaels Internet Services Group will be changing the IP addresses for our secure ftp (sftp) sites effective Saturday, July 25, 2009. In order to make this change, there will be an outage onthe ftp sites beginning at 02:00 CST for approximately two (2) hours. At the end of that outage, the new IP addresses for our sftp sites will be: Production SFTP Site: 63.96.131.16 Test SFTP Site: 63.96.131.26 During this outage, the Applications links on VendorConnect.com will be unavailable. This will include the links to the Scorecard, WebEDI, VendorConnect Reports, Canadian Commercial Invoice, RTS and SPEDY.There are no changes being made to the URLs for the ftp sites (production = ftp.michaelsconnect.com, test = testftp.michaelsconnect.com).If you are using a service bureau (SPS Commerce, True Commerce, etc.) or another third-party to manage your EDI processes, notify them for them to take appropriate action.

Note: If you are using the Michaels WebEDI system for purchase orders, this change will not affect you.

If you are connecting to us by IP address:
You will need to change your connection scripts to reflect the new IP address. Do not change the IP address prior to the planned outage as the new IP address will not be active until the end of the outage.Make sure you shut down your ftp connection processes to Michaels during the outage.

If you are connecting to us by URL:
No changes are required to your connection script -- Michaels is making no changes to the URL or port number for our sftp site.Make sure you shut down your ftp connection processes to Michaels during the outage. For the first 24 hours after the change, you may encounter errors connecting to us as the new IP address is populated in the DNS servers worldwide. The new IP addresses should propagate to the DNS servers within 8 hours, but some ISPs may take longer to update. If this occurs, wait a few hours and attempt to connect again.
